My life began in the small town of Goshen, NY where I was the last of seven children. I grew up in chaos and loved every minute of it. I always excelled in school, but had very little sports abilities. After surviving High School, I was incredibly lucky to spend a year abroad as an exchange student.

My year was spent in a little city called Falun about 2 ½ hours North of Stockholm, Sweden. This is where my life changed. For the first time ever, I had to rely completely on myself. There was no one I knew near-by to support me and push me through. Where before this experience, I exuded a masterfully theatrical image of a self-confident teenager who could handle anything; afterwards, I really was that person. I had learned finally to rely on myself and that I really could get through tough times on my own. Another major lesson learned was that I am worthwhile and a good person.

My tumultuous teenage years behind me, I graduated from college and became engaged. I married at 25, one year after I began teaching. During my formative teaching years I also began raising a child, and shortly 2 children. 4 weeks after the birth of my second son, I returned to school to earn my graduate degree. My Masters Degree in Instructional Technology was earned through the New York Institute of Technology.

Since the completion of my Masters, I have strived to become a technology leader in my school and have been asked to instruct many of my faculty in basic technology issues. While by no means a computer genius, I have been lucky enough to have the chance to help several teachers integrate different technologies into their classrooms with enthusiasm and great results.

I am currently adding on Masters credits. I consider myself one of the lucky ones. My career in teaching began in a small Catholic School in Goshen, NY for 3 years. I then was given the opportunity to move to a small Public school in Tuxedo, NY, where I am currently enjoying my 7th year teaching. I have taught varied topics in the Science field. My classes have included Aquatic Biology, Ecology, Forensics, Human Anatomy, 7th Grade Science, 8th Grade Science, and Living Environment. My job has never been boring. I have thoroughly enjoyed adding to my content and pedagogical knowledge and expanding my horizons both personally and professionally. I am exactly where I belong.
