What is “ Seneca Falls”? (Return to TOP)

“ Seneca Falls” is a term that is used to describe a formula that New York State Commissioner of Education devised as one method to determine the net cost for educating a student. This formula includes calculations for secondary pupils (7-12), elementary pupils (K-6), half day kindergarten and special education pupils. School districts may use this formula or any other cost calculation that determines its net cost per student to establish tuition rates. The current contract rate Greenwood Lake pays Tuxedo as tuition is less than the Seneca Falls calculated rate .
